......................where August 24, 2006 is a Special Holiday
This page is brand new, just like its subject my lovely little new grand daughter. So they
(she and this page) will just grow along together, until someday she will probably need her
own whole website.
First Family Portrait
Grace, Melanie and Rylan
Halloween Comes Early
Grampa found it necessary to go down to Nelson the other day and meet his new little sweetheart. Actually
she has already, instantly, won my heart and pushed everybody in the world back to second place at best.
In the picture on the left poor little Grace is learning how scary it can be to open her eyes and see Grampa.
She'll learn soon enough that even though he looks scary, he is no threat to Grace and loves her with an
astonishingly powerful love. Now, no matter how stressed out I become, just the thought of her little face causes
a cloud of mellowness to improve my mood whenever I think of her, and she just floats into my conciousness
unbidden, completely by surprise. But it's always such a pleasant surprise!
WMD found in Nelson!
Weapon of Mass Devotion
The little beauty above (who will not be named, not to protect her
privacy, but because she hasn't been named yet), is already loved by her parents Rylan and
Melanie and all of her grandparents. This old grump is totally thrilled to be one of those
grandparents.
Her dad wondered if WMD might represent World of Messy Diapers, but no, no, no. I can understand
your tendency to consider it though.
Warning!!! Potentially doting Grandpa over here!!!!
The Beginning of Grace
Isn't she Grand?
6 pounds 9 ounces X 21 inches
She arrived at 1:56pm, August 24, 2006 in Nelson, British Columbia
Rylan, Melanie, Doug, Emily, grandparents Lucas and I are all extremely pleased to announce the
arrival of this lovely little lass. We all apologize for the state of the planet she is going to have to live on,
but will do our best to make it better -
but as my man Chimpy McFlightsuit would say "it's hard work."
For a few days, Permanently, for the forseeable future, this cutie will greet those who show up here,
because she is just so cute. But then this pic will move on over to
State of Grace, my brand new grand daughter's brand new web page! Obviously this pic
isn't moving over to Grace's page, but if Grump Pa gets off his rear anchor, he will be posting some more recent
pics of Miss My Universe. Actually Grump Pa can even do that sitting down, which increases the likelihood of it happening.
