My new home had fruit trees and greenery, but was best described as a "fixer-upper"
or "handyman's special". It kept me busy renovating for over ten years until I
finally sold, moving to share a larger house.

In 1987, back to England for the first time in 30 years. It had changed, but much
in the countryside looked the same.
All the aircraft I used to fly are now
in museums. At Newark, I found this Meteor NF14, which
looks positively archaic. They did let an old pilot climb into the cockpit.

beautiful sandy beaches backed by shady forest, it is very popular as a campsite
in the summer but, because it's so large, it never seems crowded.
